Investing
Investing overseas is different in many ways from
local investments. There are political and
legislative issues that has to be taken into
considerations. It may range from the type and
the number of properties one can own, to the
financing available.
Real estate investment is an art; strategies have
to be crafted to suit the circumstances, and a
philosophy; the ability to look beyond the cyclical
short term fluctuation. There are no hard and
fast rules to adhere to. By consolidating the
numerous strategies adopted by investors
around the world, it is hoped that an overview is
given and the investor is better informed. It is
worth the time and money acquiring the
knowledge required because knowledge reduces
risk exponentially. The eventual road every
investor takes is still up to them. We cannot cry
foul for lack of knowledge.
Certain of the financing methods advocate by the
writers are not relevant to every country.
However we must remember that investing is
about finding where opportunities are, it may be
at home or overseas. We should not restrict
ourselves.
